What would be your pearl of wisdom to somebody just learning to play the drums?

Hi, I was thinking about taking lessons after xmas, as i've always wanted to learn to play the drums.
Anyway, what single piece of advice would you give to a newcomer?

Nice site by the way, i've enjoyed reading the drum lessons.

Relax, and practice. It's the hardest part of drumming, but the most rewarding... The more you practice the better you'll get. It's that simple. And find your own sound, what ever it may be. Chris Adler said, and I paraphrase... drumming is not about what you can't do, it's about having fun with what you can do.
